Project Brief

The project involved designing patterned wrapping paper for a special holiday or occasion. The brief required exploring multiple compositions and experimenting with colour variations using Photoshop to develop a visually engaging and versatile design.

Reflection

I chose to focus on the special occasion of baby showers. I hand-painted teddy bears holding a pink heart using watercolour on watercolour paper, then used Photoshop to remove any remaining pencil marks and to adjust the heart’s colours. For the final design (see page on the right), I changed one bear to hold a blue heart and the other a pink heart,
reflecting the traditional colors used for baby showers and gender reveals. I also added small pink, blue, and yellow stars to make the pattern to create visual unity and additional interest throughout the design.
