Project Brief

The project involved creating three different styles of images as potential magazine covers for various suitable publications. The first style enhanced a photograph with illustrated elements, while the second asked us to explore and create a surreal image. The third style transformed a photograph into a low-poly (low-polygon) graphic. From these explorations, the strongest concept was selected and applied as the front cover for a magazine that best suited the style and aesthetic, aiming to replicate a believable and visually engaging publication cover.

Reflection

I felt that the first would suit well for a fashion magazine and that the second one for an art based magazine. I selected my low poly design as I felt it best aligned with the aesthetic of Teen Breathe magazine. I then developed a cover that closely reflected the style of an authentic issue, aiming to replicate its overall look and feel. I carefully matched the typography, spacing, sizing, colour palette, and style of article names to create a believable and cohesive magazine cover.
