Project Brief
The project involved rebranding Mr Sheen to appeal to a more modern target audience while maintaining recognition and loyalty among existing consumers. The brief specified that the product focus would shift from furniture polish to a general cleaning product, and it allowed for a name update as long as the “Sheen” element was retained. Additionally, the brief required the creation of a new mascot, providing an opportunity to develop a fresh and contemporary brand identity.
Reflection
I chose to retain Mr Sheen’s suit and butler theme while creating a new mascot, a tuxedo cat, to appeal to a more modern and younger audience. The mascot is friendly, bubbly and helpful, with the cat element symbolizing cleanliness. The logo is designed to be versatile for any product fragrance and incorporates rounded, bubble-like shapes to reinforce its identity as a cleaning product.
