Project Brief

The project involved designing a poster for a film about a woman who travels to a small coastal town where a murder occurs. Struggling with memory loss issues, she must solve the case before the killer strikes again. The brief specified that lighthouses should be a key visual element, and that the poster must include the names of Chris Evans, Toni Collette, and Barry Otto.

Reflection

I chose a dark blue background to create a suspenseful, murder-mystery atmosphere. To contrast this, I used a bright, hopeful yellow for the title and release date so they would stand out while adding tension between light and dark elements. The remaining text is in white to maintain clarity and readability against the darker tones. I incorporated a silhouette of a lighthouse to meet the brief requirements while subtly reinforcing the coastal setting. As instructed, I also included the faces of at least two of the lead actors.
